Thanksgiving Toothpick
As is tradition in our family, Thanksgiving dinner is held around 4pm, and instead of lunch, we have some designated snacks to tide us over.As I was eagerly partaking of the summer sausage, corned beef, carrots, crackers, cheese and dip yesterday, I suddenly became aware of something...not right in my mouth.
I reached in - discretely, of course - to pull out a toothpick. Or rather, part of a toothpick. In my haste to scarf as much food as possible, I had eaten - and swallowed - more than half of a toothpick.
Whoops. Good thing there was more sausage to wash it down with.
